A Real Holiday with Bonkersfrog
Whatever your fitness level or experience - we have a cycling, walking or activity holiday to suit you.
Whether you prefer fully guided or self guided, off the peg or tailor made, we have thoroughly researched the routes, accommodation, rest stops and restaurants to make sure that your holiday experience exceeds your expectations. We cater for all ages, except very young children. In most cases we can put groups of guests together in similar ages or experience.
France is a country which embraces the bicycle as part of its culture. Giving space to cyclists on the roadways goes without saying. We are mainly based in the Creuse Dept of the Limousin Region where the terrain is undulating and scenic. The walking and cycling routes that we use wind through quiet country lanes and over beautiful countryside which take in a wealth of historical and interesting sites both natural and man made. We also offer a limited number of weeks when we guide groups of up to ten cyclists along the Canal du Midi, between Toulouse and Narbonne, staying in hotels along the route with two nights in Carcassonne, the fortified town founded in the fifth century.
Equipment
We have invested in high quality and well maintained equipment to ensure that nothing gets in the way of your enjoyment or your safety. You can of course bring your own bicycles, and we have excellent secure storage and bike transport, but our prices do include :
For the Off Road/Multi Activity Holidays - hire of quality Specialized or Trek Mountain bikes with front suspension and disc brakes, safety helmets and water bottles.
For the On Road cycling holidays - quality Specialized touring/hybrid bikes with rack, panniers and map holder, and of course we also provide helmets and water bottles and mini tool kit. We also have a limited number of drop handlebar road bikes available, and a tandem!
We have a range of Old Town canadian canoes, which are safe, stable and easy to paddle, bouyancy aids are provided, in all sizes.
For the Nordic Walking we provide Gabel Nordic Walking Poles.
The accommodation we use is either owned by us or where we use Villas, Hotels or Guest Houses we thoroughly check them and constantly get feedback from our guests to ensure that high standards are maintained at all times.
From the moment that you arrive at the airport or the train station, we take care of everything, so that your holiday is just that - A Real Holiday.
